Adopt Me pet aging chart
Most aging charts on the internet are out of date. On September 12, 2025, Adopt Me cut the number of tasks pets need, and a lot of guides still print the old numbers (a Legendary used to need 275 tasks; it needs 183 now). This chart uses the current numbers.
Tasks to Full Grown, by rarity
| Rarity | Tasks to Full Grown | Age-Up Potions needed |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 25 | 1 |
| Uncommon | 36 | 2 |
| Rare | 54 | 2 |
| Ultra-Rare | 107 | 4 |
| Legendary | 183 | 7 |
Pets age through six stages: Newborn, Junior, Pre-Teen, Teen, Post-Teen and Full Grown. An Age-Up Potion completes 30 tasks at once. Potions are counted by rounding up, since a part-used potion still gets spent. Age-Up Potions cannot be traded; you earn them from Friendship level ups on Full Grown pets.
Neon and Mega Neon totals
A Neon takes four Full Grown pets of the same kind, fused at the Neon Cave. A Mega Neon takes four Luminous Neons, which means sixteen regular pets, and every one of them has to be aged: the sixteen to Full Grown, then the four Neons through their own aging. In task terms a Mega costs about twenty times the single pet figure. For a Legendary that is roughly 3,660 tasks of aging work, which is exactly why Mega versions of good pets carry the values they do.
Two newer systems worth knowing
The same September 2025 update added the Pet Pen, which ages pets while you are offline, and the Pet Releaser, which turns pets you release into Tickets that buy Basic Eggs and Crystal Eggs. If a guide never mentions either, it was written before the rebalance and its other numbers are suspect too.
Figures cross checked against the Adopt Me Wiki and updated community guides, November 2026. Task counts are per full aging cycle.
