Steal A Balut: getting started

Steal A Balut is a steal and hatch game by the STEAL A BALUT group, set in a Philippines inspired world. One loop drives everything, and once the loop makes sense the rest of the game is just bigger ducks and bigger numbers.

Step 1: claim the codes first

Before your first steal, open the Shop, find the code box, and redeem OG, BALUT and RELEASED. Together they pay $125,000 Cash and 1,500 Speed, which is a real head start rather than a token gift. Codes are redeemed through the Shop button on the left of the screen, then the Codes tab or the code box at the bottom of the Shop window. Type them in capitals, exactly as shown on our codes page.

Step 2: crack your first balut

Baluts are the eggs of this game, incubated duck eggs that hatch into ducks when you crack them open. Hatching is the steady, safe way to build a collection: find a balut, crack it, and meet your duck. Our eggs page explains the hatching side in full, including what is and is not known about it yet.

Step 3: place ducks and let them pay you

A duck only earns once it is placed in your base. Placed ducks generate Cash continuously, and Cash is what the whole economy runs on. Early on, the habit that matters is simple: every duck you own should be placed and earning, not sitting unplaced while you wander.

Step 4: spend Cash on the loop, not around it

The Shop takes Cash for three families of things: general upgrades, Hammers and Trails. Hammers support the cracking and stealing side of the game, Trails are the movement line, and upgrades lift your character. Spending that feeds the loop, faster cracking, faster movement, better escapes, pays for itself. Spending that does not, waits.

Step 5: build Speed like it is a currency

Speed sets how fast you move across the field, and movement is offence and defence at once. Faster players reach new ducks first, run down steal targets, and, most importantly, get home with a stolen duck before a guard catches them. The code gifts of 500 and 1,000 Speed show how the game expects Speed to be stocked in bulk. Treat every Speed gain as permanent progress.

Step 6: steal, carefully

Stealing is the fast, risky route to better ducks. You can take ducks from the world and raid rival bases for theirs, but guards watch the targets and the run home is where steals are won or lost. Start with targets you can outrun, and read the stealing and defending guide before you go after anything rare.

Step 7: fill the Index

The Index is the collection list of every duck in the game, and completing it is the long term goal the loop feeds. Every hatch and every steal that brings home a duck you have never owned is Index progress as well as income. Nobody outside the game has published the full Index yet, so this site covers it with an arranged Index of 56 ducks across 7 eggs, every figure labelled a community estimate. Your own Index screen is still the authority, and anything you can share from it on the Tell Us board helps replace arranged figures with real ones.

Trading status, checked November 5, 2026: Stealing is live in this game, trading is not. There is no trade window, no gift system and no agreed exchange between players. What can look like trading from the outside is theft inside the world: you take a duck from a rival base in real time, and guards or the owner can stop you before you get it home. No source documents a trading system for this game. Until trading ships, this section ranks units by income, the number the game itself pays you.

Facts checked against Dexerto, Sportskeeda and Roblox Den on November 5, 2026. eggvalues.com is a fan site and is not affiliated with the Steal A Balut team or Roblox Corporation. Steal A Balut has no player trading yet, so this section publishes no trade values: rankings use an income index built from the figures on this page.
