How Trading Works in Bee Swarm Simulator
The short version
Trading lets two Bee Swarm Simulator players swap beequips, stickers, Cub Buddy skins, hive skins and vouchers. It does not, and never has, let you trade bees or eggs. If someone offers to trade you a bee, they are running a scam, because the trade window has no slot that can hold one.
Unlocking trading
You need 20 bees in your hive and three cadet badges before the game lets you trade. Most players clear both inside their first few days: cadet badges come from early playtime and quest milestones, and 20 bees is a normal first week hive. Once unlocked, trading stays unlocked.
Where trades happen
The Hive Hub is the game's dedicated trading area, added when trading returned in December 2025, and it is where serious traders gather. You can also send a trade request to any player in your own server. Either way, both players place items into the trade window, look at both sides, and confirm. Nothing moves until both sides confirm, so the window itself is your safety check: read it.
A short, honest history
Trading arrived on January 12, 2024, alongside the sticker system. Onett switched it off on September 26, 2025 while the economy was reworked, and switched it back on in the Hive Hub on December 17, 2025, with Cub Buddy skin trading following on December 28. Prices from before the shutdown are history, not guidance: the market that exists now is the post restoration one.
Trading without getting burned
Check the exact item, not the name. Two beequips with the same name can be worth wildly different amounts because of their stat rolls and potential, so open the item and read its build before you confirm. Never do a two step trade where someone promises the rest later, and never hand items to a middleman: the window settles everything in one step, so any deal that needs a second step is a deal designed to rob you. For anything valuable, price both sides in Star Signs on the values page or run the offer through the trade calculator first.
