Build a Zoo values: every animal income value listed

Last updated: November 5, 2026

A value in Build a Zoo cannot be a trade price, because the game has no trading system and no market where animals are priced by players. The only worth the game itself assigns to an animal is its income value: the cash per second a placed animal pays before mutations multiply it. This page lists that income value for all 51 documented animals, and the Basis column says exactly where each figure comes from.

Sixteen animals carry a published rate. Twelve are event animals with exact figures printed in their event guides: the Thanksgiving five, led by Gobbles at $30,978/s, and the Halloween seven, led by Leshen at $28,704/s. Four are core animals with approximate figures from a single money guide: the Snake at about $3,000/s, and the Panda, Tiger and Fox at about $2,000/s each. The other 35 core animals carry arranged estimates, marked Estimate and shown with an Est. prefix: each rarity follows the animal's conveyor pool or its source egg's place on the published egg price ladder, and each income is interpolated inside that rarity band between the published anchors, never above a published figure from a higher band. The estimates complete the table without pretending to be published stats, and a published figure replaces an estimate the moment a source prints one.

Frequently asked questions

What does value mean in Build a Zoo if there is no trading?

Value here means income value: the cash per second a placed animal pays. With no trading system there is no market price, so income is the only honest measure of what an animal earns you.

Where do the income values come from?

Sixteen animals carry published rates: the 12 event animals have exact figures from their event guides, and four core animals have approximate figures from one money guide. The other 35 core animals carry arranged estimates, built from the game's own egg price ladder and conveyor pools and interpolated between the published anchors, and every estimate is labelled Estimate in the table.

Why do event animals dominate the top of the table?

Event guides publish full hatch tables with incomes, so the event animals hold the only exact top figures. The arranged estimates put the Prismatic pool pair, the Dragon and the Orangutan, right behind them, which matches where their 37.8 billion cash conveyor sits in the game's ladder.

What is the difference between this page and the income rankings?

The rankings page is a pure leaderboard of the 16 published rates. This values page explains what each figure means, shows every animal including the unpublished ones, and flags which figures are approximate.

How these numbers work

Every animal name in this section is named by at least two public sources, or by a dated event guide whose hatch table a second source reproduces. Sixteen of the 51 animals carry published income figures: the 12 event animals carry exact rates from their event guides, and four core animals carry approximate rates from a single money guide, labelled approximate wherever they appear. The other 35 core animals carry arranged estimates, labelled Estimate wherever they appear: because no source publishes core rarities or a core income ladder, each estimate is built from the game's own structure, with the rarity taken from the animal's conveyor pool or its source egg's place on the published egg price ladder, and the income interpolated inside that rarity band between the published anchors, never above a published figure from a higher band. The moment a source publishes a real rate or rarity for one of these animals, the published figure replaces the estimate. Egg prices and conveyor prices are the figures two source lists agree on; where the two lists disagree, both figures are shown and the disagreement is flagged instead of averaged away. The same rule keeps the two conflicting mutation ladders on the mutations page separate. Codes follow the standard two source rule and every status is dated, because Build a Zoo codes carry redemption caps and can expire mid event.
