Best Grow a Garden 2 pets, ranked by trade value
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Best, on this page, has one precise meaning: the pets other players give the most for. All 36 released pets are ranked into tiers by the trade value of their Normal form, on the points scale from the values list. Those points are community estimates, ours included, because the game publishes no prices; the methodology shows how the scale is anchored and where its gaps were derived. This is a value ranking, not an ability ranking, and the bottom of the page is plain about the difference.
Why the tiers use the Normal form
Every pet exists in four variants, and the variants do not scale evenly: one pet's Big form can be worth fifty of its Normal form while another's barely doubles. Ranking by the Normal value keeps all 36 pets on one comparable footing. The strongest variant column in each table shows the ceiling for that pet, and it can reorder the picture completely: the highest single entry on the whole values list is a Mega Ice Serpent at 210,000 points, marked est. because it is derived from the measured Mega ratio, which itself rests on only three anchored pairs. Treat that one figure as a placeholder until real trades confirm it.
Tier S
One pet stands alone up here on its Normal value: the guild reward serpent that almost nobody owns in any form.
| Pet | Normal value | Strongest variant | Ability | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ice Serpent Super | 6,200 pts | Mega 210,000 pts est. | Flies around the garden breathing frost that freezes intruders in place. |
Tier A
The chase tier: the Secret pet, the guild and event exclusives, and the pets traders ask for by name.
| Pet | Normal value | Strongest variant | Ability | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kitsune Secret | 600 pts | Mega 20,000 pts est. | Steals fruit from other players' gardens at night; stolen fruit has a 20% chance to arrive with the Chakra mutation. | |
| Black Dragon Super | 300 pts | Mega 10,000 pts | Flies around the garden breathing fire on intruders, and lays Common Eggs that hatch into pets. | |
| Muffin Man Super | 300 pts | Mega 10,000 pts est. | Triggers Sugar Rush every 10 minutes: sell prices rise 25% for 10 seconds (more on variants, capped at +70%). | |
| Phoenix Super | 300 pts | Mega 10,000 pts est. | Every 30 minutes, burns the smallest fully grown plant and replants it at a new random size. | |
| Red Panda Super | 300 pts | Mega 10,000 pts est. | Sneaks out at night to steal seeds from other players' gardens, more often than the Fox. | |
| Jandel Monkey Mythic | 120 pts | Big 50,000 pts | Every 15 minutes, summons a random weather event across the whole server. | |
| Scarecrow Mythic | 120 pts | Mega 3,200 pts | After a theft, briefly deters further stealing from the garden. | |
| Shadow Dragon Super | 110 pts | Mega 3,700 pts est. | Applies the Veil mutation to planted crops. |
Tier B
Real trade pieces: valuable enough to headline a small trade, common enough that one changes hands most days.
| Pet | Normal value | Strongest variant | Ability | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jackalope Legendary | 60 pts | Mega 2,000 pts est. | Passive walk speed boost; Big variants boost harder. | |
| Raccoon Super | 60 pts | Mega 2,000 pts est. | Sneaks out at night to steal fruit from empty gardens and raises the steal limit by 25. | |
| Unicorn Mythic | 50 pts | Rainbow 7,700 pts | Doubles the chance of Rainbow mutations on plants and fruit. | |
| Fox Mythic | 40 pts | Mega 1,300 pts est. | Steals other players' seeds at night and brings them back. | |
| Golden Dragonfly Mythic | 35 pts | Mega 1,200 pts est. | Doubles the chance of Gold mutations on plants and fruit. | |
| Wolf Mythic | 25 pts | Mega 830 pts est. | Summons a pack of beasts when the moon rises. | |
| Bald Eagle Mythic | 20 pts | Big 1,200 pts | Grabs intruders and flies them out of the garden. | |
| Bear Mythic | 20 pts | Big 2,900 pts | Tackles intruders, pins them and throws them out of the garden. | |
| Firefly Mythic | 15 pts | Big 900 pts | Makes every player's newly planted crops on the server 2% bigger per Firefly. | |
| Monkey Mythic | 15 pts | Rainbow 4,000 pts | Picks ripe fruit and brings it to the player. |
Tier C
Priced, but small: the everyday pets the anchor list still puts a figure on.
| Pet | Normal value | Strongest variant | Ability | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Swan Legendary | 8 pts | Mega 270 pts est. | Sprays water that speeds up nearby plants. | |
| Squirrel Legendary | 6 pts | Mega 200 pts est. | Pecks the ground and digs up seeds. | |
| Bee Legendary | 5 pts | Rainbow 800 pts | Patrols the garden and swarms intruders. | |
| Butterfly Legendary | 5 pts | Mega 170 pts est. | Helps every player's plants on the server grow 3% faster; the bonus stacks. | |
| Hedgehog Rare | 1 pts | Mega 1,000 pts est. | Rolls at intruders and knocks them back. | |
| Turkey Rare | 1 pts | Mega 1,000 pts | Pecks the ground and digs up random seeds. |
Tier D
Zero points on the anchored scale. These move as throw-ins and favours, so their price is whatever the trade they are padding needs them to be.
| Pet | Normal value | Strongest variant | Ability | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bunny Common | 0 pts | Mega 2,800 pts | Raises walk speed by 5. | |
| Chicken Rare | 0 pts | Mega 1,000 pts est. | Lays a Small Brown Egg about every 5 minutes; the eggs are a cooking ingredient and do not hatch. | |
| Chocolate Lab Uncommon | 0 pts | Mega 2,800 pts est. | Sniffs out one free duplicate seed on seed purchases. | |
| Deer Rare | 0 pts | Mega 1,000 pts est. | Makes plants grow 10% faster. | |
| Dog Uncommon | 0 pts | Mega 2,800 pts est. | Bites and stuns thieves so they drop what they stole. | |
| Fat Cat Rare | 0 pts | Mega 1,000 pts est. | Makes the player bigger while equipped (x1.15; more on Big, Mega and Rainbow variants). | |
| Frog Common | 0 pts | Mega 2,800 pts est. | Raises jump height by 5. | |
| Owl Uncommon | 0 pts | Mega 2,800 pts | Extends night view distance by 12.5% and hoots when a rare pet spawns. | |
| Robin Legendary | 0 pts | Mega 5,000 pts | Flies around eating ripe fruit and sometimes drops seeds. | |
| Sugar Bunny Common | 0 pts | Mega 2,800 pts est. | Raises walk speed and jump height by 5 while equipped; stronger on Big and Mega variants. | |
| Turtle Rare | 0 pts | Mega 1,000 pts est. | Adds 10 backpack space but cuts walk speed by 2. |
What this ranking cannot see
Abilities earn money that points do not measure. A Deer sits in tier D at zero points, yet its growth speed bonus pays its owner every single day; a Unicorn's rainbow chance is worth more to a serious farmer than its 50 points suggest. If you are choosing pets to play with rather than to trade, read the ability column and the pet database, not just the tier.
Demand moves faster than any list. An event weekend can double what a pet fetches overnight, and a guild reward rotation can flood one that was rare last week. The Friday refresh follows the market, but between refreshes the WFL calculator verdict on a live offer is worth more than a tier printed here.
Zero points is not zero use. The tier D pets are the game's everyday map spawns. They are priced at zero because supply swamps demand, not because they do nothing; several of them are the first pets a new player should buy.
Want the whole collection priced at once? The inventory calculator totals everything you own on the same scale.
