Eggs in Grow a Garden 2: what hatches, and what does not
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Grow a Garden 2 is not built on hatching the way its predecessor was. Most pets spawn on the map on a timer and are bought with Sheckles where they stand. Eggs are one of three routes into the pet collection, alongside map spawns and guild competition rewards, and this page covers every egg whose pool the sources publish, with the reported odds kept exactly as reported.
Common Egg
| Pet | Rarity | Reported hatch odds |
|---|---|---|
| Bunny | Common | 30% |
| Frog | Common | 30% |
| Deer | Rare | 20% |
| Bee | Legendary | 4.5% |
| Robin | Legendary | 4.5% |
| Golden Dragonfly | Mythic | 0.3% |
| Unicorn | Mythic | 0.3% |
| Raccoon | Super | 0.2% |
The Common Egg is also the budget route to three pets that cost real Sheckles on the map: a Unicorn is a 0.3% hatch against a 4,000,000 Sheckle buy price. The full figures are on each pet's page in the pet database.

The Fall Egg hatches the Fall Harvest world pets (Dog, Turkey, Hedgehog, Squirrel, Swan, Wolf and Fox), which also spawn on that world's map. No source publishes the Fall Egg's odds, so no percentages are printed for it.
The route that is not an egg: guild rewards
Three of the most wanted pets never come from an egg or a shop at all. The Ice Serpent and the Black Dragon are guild competition rewards, and the Phoenix arrived as a Guild Rewards prize in the Week 11 Biggest Plant competition. Their trade values reflect that supply: all three sit near the top of the values list. If a guide tells you which egg hatches a Black Dragon, it is describing the first game.
Facts checked November 4, 2026 against gag.gg (whose figures are read from the game code), the Game.Guide database and value list, growagarden2.net, questmora and the published guides named across this section; where sources disagree, the disagreement is printed on the page rather than hidden.
