Steal An Egg fusion guide
Fusion is how the strongest pet in Steal An Egg is made, and it works differently from everything else in the game: the Spirit World Guardian is not won from a zone egg like the rest of the top end. It is built, by two players together, out of four pets that stop existing.
The recipe
Fusion in this game is a partnership recipe with a fixed bill, split evenly between the two players:
| Who | Contributes |
|---|---|
| Player one | 1 Celestial Sunlion and 1 Royal Skywhale |
| Player two | 1 Celestial Sunlion and 1 Royal Skywhale |
| Result | 1 Spirit World Guardian |
Each partner contributes one Celestial Sunlion (Eternal, $2B/s) and one Royal Skywhale (Divine, $8B/s), and all four pets are consumed by the fusion. What comes out is the Spirit World Guardian, a Divine pet earning $26B/s, the highest income figure in the game.
What it really costs
Run the income math before you commit. Your half of the recipe is a Sunlion and a Skywhale: $10B/s of earning power, handed over for good. Your partner gives up the same. Between you, the fusion burns $20B/s of pets to create a $26B/s pet, so the pairing comes out ahead on paper, but only one of you walks away holding the Guardian. Who keeps it, and what the other partner receives in return, is a deal the game does not make for you: settle it before the session, in plain words in chat, not after.
Running the session safely
There is no trading system in Steal An Egg, which means there is no trade window protecting either side of a fusion arrangement. Fuse with someone you know, not a stranger from a busy server. Gather your two ingredient pets first and keep them working in your base until the session starts, and do not carry a Royal Skywhale across the map more often than you have to: it is the most stealable object in the game. Agree the split, agree who receives the Guardian, and if anything about the arrangement changes mid-session, stop. The ingredients can be hatched again; a consumed Skywhale cannot be un-consumed.
Who fusion is for
Fusion is endgame content. The ingredient pets sit at the top of the Enchanted Forest, and a player who still needs their Sunlion and Skywhale income to fund the next zone should keep them earning. Fuse when your base income no longer depends on your half of the recipe, and when the Guardian's $26B/s, or simply owning the one pet most players will never make, is worth more to the pair of you than the four pets it eats. The game's other crafting system, the Secret Shrine, has its own recipes and its own guide: the Secret Shrine guide.
