Getting started in Fake an Egg

Fake an Egg drops you into one shared arena: a central yard where eggs spawn, a ring of fenced pens, one of them yours, and a hub row with the scanner stall, the food stall and the Weather Machine. Everything you do in your first session happens inside that one map.

Your first eggs

Walk into the yard and read the floating labels before you touch anything. Each label names the species, its rarity, its cash price and its hatch timer. Start with what the game puts in front of you: the Bunny Egg at $30, then the Cat at $47 and the Dog at $96 as your first pets pay out. Buy an egg, carry it home in your hands, and set it on an open nest circle in your pen. The Bunny takes 60 seconds to hatch, and night play carries a hatch speed bonus, so a timer that looks slow in daylight moves faster after dark.

Collect, then fill every slot

A hatched pet pays cash every second, including while you are offline. Collect what has built up on the Collect Zone pad in your pen, then spend it on two things in this order: more eggs, and more pen slots from the upgrade board behind your fence. An empty slot earns nothing, and early on, five small pets outearn one medium pet of the same total price. Sell nothing yet.

Claim your Index rewards

Every species you hatch for the first time is logged in the Index, behind the blue book button. Each new entry carries a one-time claim reward, and the reward does not arrive on its own: open the Index and claim it. New players leave real cash sitting in that book for days. Do not be one of them.

Learn the scanner habit early

Any egg in the yard might be a disguised player waiting to be carried into someone's pen. It will not be a problem at Bunny prices, but build the habit now: the purple SCANNERS stall sells single use scanners, a scanner only covers its own rarity and below, and a green REAL result means the egg is genuine. The day you start buying Rare eggs and above, scanning first is the difference between a pet and a thief in your pen.

Take Rebirth 1 on time

Rebirth 1 asks for one Bunny Egg hatched and $750 earned, and it resets your cash only. Your pets stay. In return you get a permanent x1.5 cash multiplier, a small hatch speed multiplier, Uncommon feed and the Feeder unlock. Every guide checked for this page gives the same advice, and it is correct: rebirth the moment the panel lets you, every time. The multiplier compounds across everything you earn afterwards.

From there the game opens out: the money guide for stacking income, and the disguise guide for the loop this game is actually famous for.
